Ending Poverty & Empowering Women Through Education

What does giving the gift of education really mean?

What giving the gift of education means to us, and the girls we support, is so much more than just providing money for school supplies. Your donations are not only contributing to the education of a young girl living in poverty, they are also empowering that young girl to know she is worthy.

In Cambodia, women are thought to play a less important role in society than men… meaning they see little need to educate young girls.

When you join our tribe of monthly contributors, you are not just helping employ and educate a young girl, you are helping this young girl break down archaic misguided societal norms that girls don’t need an education and that they don’t deserve one. You are helping this young girl understand that she is worthy; worthy of education, of a dignified place in society, of equal pay, and of equal respect. You are not just helping her learn how to read and write, but rather helping her take hold of her future and build up the tools that will enable her to be self-reliant, independent, strong, powerful, and respected. You are not just giving her access to books and calculators, you are providing her with the armor of wisdom, confidence, and knowledge she will need to earn a place in her society.

You are helping her grow to be a more thoughtful citizen of the world and break the generational chains of poverty that have plagued her country, and her family for centuries. You are empowering this young girl with opportunity, and in turn, she is empowering you with the ability to make a global impact.

The education and empowerment of women throughout the world cannot fail to result in a more caring, tolerant, just and peaceful life for all.
