Our Commitment

The World Bank estimates that 1.44 billion people live in extreme poverty, earning an average of US $1.25 or less a day. Extreme global poverty is a vicious cycle. This cycle of doomed to repeat itself, generation, to generation, unless, those living in extreme poverty are given a real chance. Our goal is that the work of Collective Humanity will help pave the way for a more sustainable and independent future for communities living in vulnerable situations around the world. Below are our commitments to ensuring long term, sustainable impact.

We believe the most sustainable way to truly empower entire communities to rise above poverty is by providing women with jobs that enable independence and self-reliance.

We partner with 5 different artisan cooperatives throughout Cambodia. We help employ over 40 women, supporting 50+ children & dependents. We commit to providing dignified consistent income for all of the products they produce. Through our online platform and in-market opportunities, we are able to sell our artisan made goods to a larger supply chain and maximize earning potential for the women.

We celebrate technique, tradition, and quality.

We support a variety of artisan skill sets. All of the co-operatives we work with specialize in blending traditional techniques and modern design to bring you products that showcase the rich beauty, history, and culture of their countries.

We believe access to education is a fundamental human right.

We aim to help the women we partner with receive access to a full, comprehensive education. We facilitate a scholarship fund for our partners and their children to attend mathematics and literacy classes in an effort to help break the cycle of poverty and enable self reliance.

Did you know that 72% of Cambodians earn less than $3/day and 70% of Cambodian women work in vulnerable employment?

There are very few dignified jobs available for young women in Cambodia. We are helping to address this problem by empowering unemployed women in Cambodia with vocational training that will enable them to earn dignified work as Fair Trade Artisans and set them up on a path to long-term employment.

We believe in the power of community.

We help facilitate communities for our women and their families to come together, celebrate their journey's, and share in their struggles. Our community support program includes everything from bringing in alternative healers to lead Reiki Courses for women in need of deep healing, to a community emergency fund. We believe the more supportive the environment, the more likely these women are to thrive.

I believe that if you show people the problems and you show them the solutions they will be moved to act.
